Curriculum

Lodge Farm offers a bespoke education package for each student in response to their identified needs. These packages are built upon their unique set of skills, knowledge, and interests, while supporting their individual learning styles.

Our educational approach adapts effectively to meet the challenges faced by our students, many of whom are working significantly below age-related expectations when they arrive. Through a tailored approach we work to ensure that they can build a solid foundation of learning that enables them to develop their academic skills and reach their potential.

In addition to subject specific teaching, literacy and numeracy is embedded throughout the curriculum and in many of our extra-curricular activities. Lodge Farm also provides a range of practical workshops to broaden the skills and experiences of our students. These are designed to create developmental opportunities above and beyond the academic.

Through learning in a structured, respectful, and therapeutic environment, our students begin to take responsibility for their own wellbeing and health and safety.

As their social and communication skills develop, they become more aware of their interactions with others. They begin to mature, become more self-aware and develop a sense of belonging. In turn they find ways to change previous negative patterns of thoughts and behaviours.

We see real signs that they are beginning to plan for a positive future.
